I found that booking early often gets you the best rates, especially if you plan on traveling during peak seasons like spring break or summer vacation.
This resort is now an all-inclusive resort, which means the booking cost includes meals, snacks, and drinks. This makes budgeting for your trip much easier.
The Location of the Marriott Cancun, An All-Inclusive Resort
The Marriott Cancun All-Inclusive Resort is perfectly situated in the heart of Cancun’s Hotel Zone.
It’s a short 20-minute drive from Cancun International Airport, making it super convenient for families with young children who might not be up for a long drive after a flight.
The resort is beachfront, so you have direct access to the beautiful white sandy beaches and the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean Sea.

Nearby, you’ll find a variety of shops, restaurants, and attractions.
If you want to explore a bit more, the resort is a short drive away from popular sites like the Mayan ruins at Tulum and the vibrant nightlife of downtown Cancun.

The check-in process at the Marriott Cancun All-Inclusive Resort is smooth and efficient. The staff is incredibly welcoming and ready to assist with a smile.
After a long trip, the refreshing welcome drink offered is a lovely touch. The lobby is spacious and elegantly decorated, giving you a taste of the luxury that awaits.
It never hurts to ask for a room upgrade! We did, and we were placed in an ocean-view room with two queen beds.
Our Room at Marriott Cancun All-Inclusive
The rooms at the Marriott Cancun All-Inclusive Resort are spacious, clean, and well-appointed. We stayed in an oceanfront room with a balcony, and the view was absolutely gorgeous.
Waking up to the sound of the waves and watching the sunrise from the comfort of your room is something every mom needs to experience.
The room featured two queen beds, perfect for a family of four. The beds were comfortable, with plenty of pillows and a cozy duvet. The room also had a mini-fridge, which was stocked daily with water, soft drinks, and snacks. This was a lifesaver for those early-morning or late-night cravings.
The bathroom was modern and spacious. The complimentary toiletries were of high quality, and there were plenty of towels for everyone.
To note, during the last night of our stay, we noticed a smell of sewage coming from the sink area. This was not pleasant. After speaking with others who frequent Cancun, it seems to be a widespread issue with plumbing in the city. Just a heads up!
Food and Beverage at Marriott Cancun All-Inclusive
One of the highlights of the Marriott Cancun All-Inclusive Resort is the food and beverage options. With several restaurants and bars on-site, there’s something to satisfy every palate.
From casual beachfront dining to more formal options, the resort has you covered.
For breakfast, we loved the buffet option every morning. The variety was impressive, with everything from fresh fruits and pastries to made-to-order omelets and traditional Mexican dishes. We loved the pancake station, where they could choose their toppings.
Lunch was often enjoyed at the beachfront restaurant SacBé Beach Shack or poolside! The fish tacos and ceviche were fresh and delicious, and the laid-back atmosphere was perfect for a mid-day meal.
For dinner, the Japanese and Teppanyaki were favorites. They offered great cocktails, sushi, and other Japanese-inspired dishes.
We also enjoyed 750 Pizzeria and Mo’s Burgers & Shakes when we wanted to get a quick bite to eat.
Oh, and for the coffee lovers, Organic & Co. Cafe and Bakery had THE BEST iced coffee! We definitely started every morning with a beverage from there.
The resort also offers 24-hour room service, which is included in the all-inclusive package. This was great for those nights when the kids were too tired to go out, and we just wanted to relax in our room.
Amenities at Marriott Cancun All-Inclusive
The Marriott Cancun All-Inclusive Resort boasts a wide range of amenities to keep the whole family entertained. The main pool area is large and features a swim-up bar with plenty of loungers and cabanas.
When we went in Spring 2024, the kids’ club was still under construction.
The entertainment group still did a fantastic job for the little ones. They set up by the main pool and offered a variety of activities, from arts and crafts to outdoor games. The staff is wonderful and goes out of their way to ensure the kids have a great time.
Also, the fitness center and spa were still under construction.
If you’re looking to stay active or relax at the spa, guests do have access to the JW Marriott Cancun next door. It is about a 10-minute walk, but their amenities are amazing.
The full-service spa is a must-visit for moms who need some relaxation. It offers a range of other treatments, including facials and body wraps.
The resort is slated to be 100% by August 2024. Fingers crossed!

Overall, our stay at the Marriott Cancun All-Inclusive Resort was great, and we were able to relax. The combination of beautiful location, comfortable rooms, delicious food, and top-notch amenities made for a memorable family vacation.
